The agenda for the presentation of the president and vice president's vision and mission which was due to be held on January 9, 2019, was canceled by the General Election Commission (KPU). The cancellation of the vision and mission delivery agenda by the KPU drew a response from Prabowo's camp.

Spokesperson for the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak stressed that initially the proposal to deliver the vision and mission by the presidential and vice presidential candidates came from the Indonesian KPU and National Campaign Team (TKN) Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin.

Then the proposal was submitted to Prabowo and Sandi, and it turned out that he received a positive response with the desire of both of them to convey their own vision and mission.

"From the beginning, Pak Prabowo and Bang Sandi felt concerned to convey their own vision and mission, especially because the vision and mission will be carried out both if elected as president and vice president, and then Prabowo-Sandi also feels more in control of the vision and mission than the success team, "Dahnil explained at the Prabowo-Sandi victory post at Jalan Sriwijaya I, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (1/7/2019).

According to Dahnil, Prabowo-Sandi's positive response to convey his own vision and mission is a step ahead of the proposals of the KPU and TKN, so that the vision and mission can be more captured by the public by being delivered directly by the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

The Deputy Chief of Staff who guarded the National Land Agency to discuss with the KPU and TKN claimed that the Prabowo-Sandi proposal was finally rejected and the KPU submitted the submission of the vision and mission to each of the success teams along with the candidate to deliver it independently.

"So the Prabowo-Sandi proposal to improve the quality of democracy was rejected by the KPU and TKN, it should be progress in our democracy so that Pak Prabowo and Bang Sandi are optimistic to do it themselves," he said.

According to the former Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, the cancellation of the delivery of the vision and mission is not only a loss for the BPN but also for the Indonesian people as a whole.

"Yesterday there were many who criticized why the debate was not substantive and sensational, even though the ones who made it like that were media friends, the vision and mission should be a momentum for us, Prabowo and Sandi to offer our vision and mission," he explained.

"This is like we are trying to elevate democracy but then withdrawn again so that the people also lose in not knowing the vision and mission of the presidential candidates in depth and within two hours," said Dahnil.
